Public relations & public information
Clear information. A community that knows what’s happening.
Media Squatch provides public relations and communications support for organizations in Bedford, Lynchburg and Central Virginia. From routine community updates to a public meeting or a time-sensitive announcement, the work starts with accurate information and a clear approval process.
Public information people can use
Closings, service changes, public notices and community initiatives need plain language and a consistent voice. We help turn approved information into website updates, social posts, graphics, video and other formats that fit the message. Your organization remains the source of official facts and approvals.
Meeting coverage that reaches beyond the room
Council meetings, forums and public events can be supported with live streaming, recorded video, photography and concise recaps. We agree on the coverage, production needs and publication responsibilities beforehand. Captions and other accessibility requirements are discussed as part of that scope.
Public relations and media coordination
Announcements, press materials, interview preparation and content coordination can help an organization communicate consistently. For sensitive or developing situations, we work from confirmed facts and your designated decision makers. Response times and any after-hours availability must be agreed in advance.
A workflow for routine and urgent updates
Good communications depend on knowing who supplies information, who approves it and where it needs to appear. Existing clients can use Squatch Alert to send urgent content requests to the team. The reporting process documents the work completed and available channel performance.
Local communications experience
Owner and Creative Director Woody G Watts brings experience in Town of Bedford communications, public updates and meeting coverage. Media Squatch also produces the Best Little Town podcast, giving listeners a way to hear conversations about Bedford. Explore the show to hear an example of local public information in practice.
Questions before we get started?
Do you provide public information support for local governments?
Yes. We can support approved community updates, social content, meeting coverage and public-facing communications. Responsibilities, approvals and availability are defined for each engagement.
Can you stream a meeting and prepare a recap?
Yes. Live production, a recording and a concise recap can be included in an agreed scope. We plan around the venue, connectivity, audio and publication requirements.
Is urgent communications support available around the clock?
Availability and response expectations are agreed with each client. An urgent request form is an intake tool, not a guarantee of immediate or around-the-clock coverage.
